ComIT is a not-for-profit charity located in 9 cities across Canada and growing. Our mission is to help bridge the unemployment gap in the Information Technology sector by providing fully-funded scholarships to train under/unemployed individuals in software development and soft skills. We believe that the best way to help people overcome employment barriers is by working as a community to provide tools to work and considering the local labour market needs.
We offer 3-month part-time, instructor-led programming and software development courses. Students will study about 8 hours/week in person and be required to do considerable homework. Classes will teach basic logic required to code and coding languages such as Java, .Net, React among others. The topic of the course offered is determined by job openings in the local area.
